My mother passed away on March 18th. Both my brother and I live out of state and met with Dale the very same day. He was absolutely WONDERFUL in helping us put together a service for her at the last minute. He was incredibly sensitive, thoughtful and caring during a VERY difficult time. He is also very knowledgeable in what is usually needed for LDS church member when they pass. We are SO appreciative of everything Dale did for us and would definitely recommend his services. Thank you very much!

We prepaid and had everything set for my mother's funeral through a mortuary in Salt Lake. Because my mother was living in Saint George when she passed, that mortuary had a contract with Affordable Funerals in Saint George to pick up my mother's body and hold it until they could pick her up. On the morning of her passing, we contacted the mortuary in Salt Lake, who then told us that someone from Affordable Funerals would be at the home within the hour to get my mother. ONE woman came alone, in a minivan with the seats out of the back. She was dressed unprofessionally. She was then VERY upset that I wouldn't sign a paper to pay for the service. I explained that we had already prepaid the entire funeral and that the mortuary had contacted them. She was extremely rude and unprofessional. Things only got WORSE. She brought in a very wobbly gurney and attempted to move my mom BY HERSELF from the hospital bed to the gurney. She literally DROPPED my mom -- in front of our family! My brother jumped up to help catch my mother before she hit the ground. The employee then proceeded to wrap my mother in a plastic body bag.... VERY AGGRESSIVELY as though she were wrapping up a piece o

Highly recommended, Dale is fantastic. He was very patient, empathetic and collaborative. He made the whole process flow very quickly always keeping us informed. Very grateful to Affordable Funerals and Dale in particular.

My experience was compassionate even empathetic. Dale Deckard treated my son with dignity. When I went to the establishment, it felt warm, not sterile and impersonal...I'm grateful for the service and care given

Definitely recommend this funeral home. The staff here went above and beyond in helping us navigate the funeral process during this difficult time. Despite the financial hardship my daughter had in providing a service to honor the sudden passing of her beloved husband, they educated and provided us with a beautiful array of options. Burying a loved one is never easy but regardless of other family members bitter at the idea of not having control over the details as this is handled by the widowed, we were provided the upmost support and kindness throughout this experience.

Affordable Funerals and Cremations ensured a timely and smooth process led to a generally stress free family remembrance. We had travelers from 4 states spanning the continent coordinating for a memorial and Dale provided a realistic timeline (that was fulfilled) enabling minimum time away. He was very thorough on the phone and in person thoughtfully explaining each answer to our questions. Thank you Dale for guiding us through this with patience, understanding and professionalism. It was refreshing to have some old schooled service that is so hard to find.

Morgan Sulz & coworkers were Amazing with my Mother’s unexpected death back in January 2019. Their sincere kindness, gentleness & professionalism made it all so much easier to take in. Morgan went above & beyond in walking me through every detail & ensuring me He himself & his Wife would personally escort my Mothers body to Cedar City for cremation. He was so patient & kind answering all my questions. My Mother had a Beautiful service here at their place of business in St George & Mom looked Amazing! They made her look so nice & I was So Very grateful!! I would Highly recommend Morgan & staff here in St George when one of Life’s difficult moments. Thank you Affordable Funerals & Cremations for helping my family with an amazing celebration of my father's life. He passed somewhat unexpectedly, but Morgan did a wonderful job of working with us quickly on every detail of the funeral and took great care in the details. He really listened to our wishes and accomdated all our requests from the moment I called him in the early hours of his Saturday morning upon my father's passing, until the moment my father was buried. We'll always be greatful for Morgan's professionalism during a difficult time for my mother, siblings, family and friends. We are greatful for the service that was provided. -Shad McPheters
